AS IF THEY WERE OUR OWN
Fur and Feathers is a family run business providing a variety of small pet boarding services at our home in Northampton. Rabbits, rodents, reptiles, chickens – if it’s got fur or feathers, we’ve had them as our companions! All are welcome and will be cared for by experienced hands.
Our mantra is that all animals should have the best quality of life possible, and thus all our boarders are treated as if they were our own – and we sincerely mean that. Fur and Feathers will only ever take on a particular number of boarding placements, to ensure there is always plenty of time, love, and attention for your pet. With a collective experience of over 50 years in animal care, including 10 years of battery chicken rehoming, we provide peace of mind when you have to be away from your companions.
Home visit services are available for pets that can’t be moved, or for when you need an extra pair of hands while out or at work. This can include feeding, water, cleaning out, fuss, play – and we are happy to extend this service to dogs and cats, as well as small pets and chickens.
WHAT WE DO
Quality pet boarding for a wide variety of animals.
OUTDOOR BOARDING
Rabbits and guinea pigs can board in our RSPCA and RWAF approved hutches, with a predator proof run providing daytime access to grass. Prices include bedding and fresh daily vegetables, just bring your pets favourite dry food!
Extra large hutches and runs are available for larger groups of co-habiting pets.
INDOOR BOARDING
Indoor pets can be accommodated in their own cage in a dedicated, secure room in our house, away from our own pets. We tailor our boarding to provide the best possible care for your pet, and provide a home away from home.
As well as rabbits and guinea pigs, we also cater to rats and other rodents, as well as reptiles.
CHICKEN FLOCK
We offer accommodation for a flock of up to 10 chickens, kept separately from our own, with a secure run and access to a free range pen during the day. We are experienced chicken keepers and have been caring for rescued chickens for over 10 years.
Additionally, we also offer home-visit services if you do not wish to move your girls when you go away!
